This computer interface system is designed for future component systems which will be flat, and disposable. Installation can be configured to meet needs at any location. Interface is customizable to provide for licensing or branding opportunities.

Since designing this in 2002 or so, I see that Kensington has created a (somewhat) similar concept in it’s SlimBlade product.
Still lots of room for innovation for hardware in this area.
